In 1998 a small group of aspiring realists held a very unique art exhibit in Northeastern Pennsylvania titled ‘Capturing Realism’. This show exhibited the endeavors of a handful of impressive local talents that were brought together under the tutelage of a renowned artist also hailing from this northern corner of the Keystone State, Anthony J. Waichulis. In the years that followed, The Waichulis Studio’s Capturing Realism exhibit became a highly anticipated biennial showcase lauded by critics and collectors alike on a national scale. This year we are proud to share with you the first Capturing Realism exhibit as The Ani Art Academy Waichulis (AAAW). To celebrate this new chapter in our development, we have invited two sister studios that currently employ The Waichulis training system, Joel Jones’ Truform Studios of PA and The Jahn Studio of NJ. It is an honor to be able to present this staggering collection of talent under the Ani banner, and judging by the works from this exhibit, the future of The Ani Art Academies project may exceed all of our expectations…
